Radke Martinez Regional Shoreline Park

Radke Martinez Regional Shoreline Park

Ferry St, Martinez, CA 94553

In memory of Ted Radke and his mother, Kathy, on December 6, 2016, the Board of Directors of the Park District changed the Area Shoreline Martinez to Ted and Kathy Radke. Between 1978 to 2014, he worked on the park district board and played a key role in the restoration of the Martinez Waterfront, in -land acquisition support, and in partnering with legislators for environmental protection. Kathy Radke has been working to rescue the development of Mt-Wanda and to maintain Franklin Hills as open space, and she has co-founded the Institute for Education on Contra Costa Ecology with her husband.

Regional Shoreline Radke Martinez (RMRS) is the Martinez County County Regional Park, on the coast of Carquinez Strait northern Contra Costa County, Calif. On December 6, 2016, it was changed to commemorate Late Ted Radke and his late wife Kathy Radke, once recognized as the coastal shoreline of Martinez. It is a member of the East Bay Regional Park System (EBRPD) which occupies 343 acres (1.39 km2). Group picnic areas, softball fields, bocce ball courts and soccer fields are located in the east section of the park. In the west there are large lawns, tiny picnic areas for the kids, swimming pools and lakes and 3 miles (4.8 km) of pathways through the wetlands and the beaches.

Good. Wonderful. Level, mostly. Nonetheless, you can get some good workout. See the carquinez rules of the ships. A fantostic job was done by Martinez to rebuild the shore. Much of it is a coastal water today. Superb to catch birds and play. Train traffic there is quite a few of whistles and diesel engine noises, but far enough from it. Good space. It’s a glad place. Gorgeous spots to stroll over the water and watch out. Well held, good points of entry. This looks like an interesting fishing spot from the piers. Great place for coffee in Martinez, too. Excellent place to rest and linger in tranquil waters.
