In cooperation with staff, parents, and management, Robert Semple's Mission Statement was developed. It is more than just a sign posted on the wall. It is a mirror that represents the school community's beliefs and values. “We are committed to creating a learning environment that will prepare our students for college and career. We are devoted and committed to ensuring the academic and personal success of each and every student. “Based on the name of one of the town's founders, Robert Semple Elementary has about 460 students in a pre-kindergarten through fifth grade neighborhood school. Robert Semple was built 50 years ago and for half a century was an integral part of Benicia.
When they were children, many of the parents attended Robert Semple. Most weekends, neighborhood youth teams play school sports, families picnic on a playground and the city takes advantage of the facilities for meetings and events. Many kids walk or go to school by bike. From Robert Semple, it is easy to reach many parks, the public library and the city center for walking and discovering the rich history of our historic city. Robert Semple has close ties and is supported by the artist community, which is part of the enrichment program and annual Art Day of his artists, by their collaborations in performing arts, sculptures, pottery, painting and music.
Robert Semple Elementary is a kindergarten through a fifth grade school with approximately 450 students named after one of the founders of the area. Semple was built 50 years ago and for half a century was an integral part of Benicia. When they were young, many of our parents attended Semple. The boundaries of the schools have recently changed and the city of Semple has grown to include most of the east and downtown areas. Semple is a kindergarten in the neighborhood. On the weekends, community youth teams play on the field, and kids and parents play on the playground. Most children go to school by bike or by foot. We have easy access to several parks, the public library and the city center for field tours and activities. Semple has close relationships with the Benicia artist community and artists take part in the program.
